Assistant Coach - Valorant

About this role NTG is hiring an in-house Assistant Coach for its Valorant division in Mangaluru. You are the coaching presence in the room. The contracted international Head Coach sets the tactical system; you translate it into daily drills, run it with the players at the arena, and make sure it survives contact with an actual scrim. You will work directly with the Head Coach and have access to their sessions, reviews, and system. This is a hands-on, arena-based role for someone who wants to build a coaching record with a roster they helped raise from the ground up. Responsibilities Own site executes, default setups, and mid-round adaptation across the active map pool Run daily practice blocks and weekly scrims, converting the Head Coachs system into executable drills Conduct first-pass VOD review before Head Coach sessions and brief the team on findings Attend all team meetings and reviews for the roster you are coaching Ensure the team practices, turns up to scrims, and competes at scheduled tournaments Hold team morale and composure manage tilt, keep the room level during losing runs, and keep players focused through a six-month cycle Manage player relationships and run retention reviews with management Report to management on any player who fails to attend, attends irregularly, or where team chemistry issues are developing. Escalating these early is part of the job, not an exception to it. Requirements Ascendant+ understanding of the game, with strong map and utility knowledge Background as a competitive player, IGL, or analyst, with demonstrable experience Comfortable with VOD tools and basic stat tracking Physically present at the NTG arena for practice and scrim blocks Willing and able to have difficult personnel conversations Prior work with Indian tier-2 or tier-3 rosters is an advantage Time commitment Approximately 12–15 hours per week across practice blocks, weekly scrims, match days, and Head Coach sessions.
